Welcome Puppy!
Dear Puppy,
Welcome to the world!  We know
you are going to have a long and
happy life with your new human
family.  Please be patient with
your new pack members.  They
don't speak your language, they
don't understand your culture,
and they didn't have the
advantage of a great doggie Mom
like yours to teach them the
rules.  To help you and your new
human companions understand
each other, we've prepared a list
of a few things they need to
know.  You can do your part by
making sure they make an
appointment with The Pet Coach
for a set of Puppy Classes.
After all, humans need all the
education they can get!
Love,
The Pet Coach

Until you see the Pet Coach...
Don't                                DO
Allow your pup to sleep                Crate train your puppy
in the bed with you

Allow your puppy to                    Keep your puppy on leash
have unsupervised access              indoors and out, every
to the house                           minute he is not in his
                                         crate

Allow your puppy to                   Feed your puppy 2-3
"self feed" from a                   times a day, asking him
bowl of food left out                 to sit before you put the
all day                                 bowl on the floor.

Allow your puppy to                   Supervise your puppy
stay outside in an                    every minute he is
unfenced area while                   outside, even if his
you are not with him                  yard is fenced.  Keep
                                     him inside in his crate
                                     or a puppy-proofed room
                                     when you are away.

By following these simple rules, you will avoid making the most common
mistakes we see at The Pet Coach.  Everything else we can fix!
